    In my opinion--in our now highly surveilled society, if a police officer doesn't have a functioning body camera, he should have no police powers.

    As the Cop arrests YOU, how would you know their body camera was
    functioning or not?? Should they have to show you some video before they
    slam you in the Paddy-Wagon??

    Oh, he can obviously still effect the physical arrest...

    ...but the arrest should absolutely be thrown out if his bodycam turns
    out not to have been working.
