Copilot is a useless piece of shit.

And so is Debian, but we can only deal with one thing at a time.

All major operating systems are pieces of shit in one way or
another, but some are shittier than others.

For my purposes I have found Debian and its derivatives a lot
less shitty than Windows or MacOS. In particular I find Windows
11 in its default state to be incredibly obnoxious, even appalling.

    Windows Vista 11. It's a transitional version like Vista & Windows 8.
I'll agree that it's an obnoxious annoying POS designed for those who play
    and don't work.

That doesn't mean that Debian or some other Linux is going to
be a good fit for you or anyone else. I'm not an "advocate"
in the sense of trying to push it on anyone else, but it works
for me. (It probably helps that I have been working with Unix
and Unix-like systems for over 40 years.)

OSF/1, Digital Unix, Tru64, HP-UX, AIX, AT&T Unix, others here.

I don't have a good long term solution for A.I.-less operating
    systems.

I find Linux "good enough", though the BSDs (which are real
Unix) have a lot to recommend them. I may take a closer look
    at them moving forward.

It's good for most things, not so good for working with older management interfaces that are dependent on legacy versions of Windows. That's why
    we have VMs on laptops.
