They've gone up-market a bit, and made some things for the dev community.

    https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/10/microsoft-event-debuts-new-ai-friendly-hardware-and-windows-changes/

Surface Laptop Ultra Nvidia RTX Spark SoC Starting price $2600 (24GB RAM model) [You'd want a more expensive one]

RTX Spark Dev Box (Similar to GB10) Starting price $6000 (128GB RAM model) 273 to 300GB/sec bandwidth
[273 was the original release GB10]
    [Slightly faster LPDDR5x are available]

    Memory bandwidth on devices:

RTX Spark Dev Box ~300GB/sec (depends on what LPDDR5x ships in it)
Some M5 box ~1200GB/sec (LPDDR5x on chiplet based, impact of interconnect unknown)
RTX 6000 Pro ~1500GB/sec (GDDRxx type VRAM connected to one giant chip, this is "real" bandwidth)

And each has correspondingly "golden shovel" pricing.

I would have been interested in this computer if Microsoft hadn't
alienated me so wholeheartedly with its constant failures over the last
two decades. I also don't believe Microsoft is capable of producing a
    decent ARM-based operating system.

So now these will crash and burn on bad monthly updates even faster? Whoopie.

Why even bother with this hardware when it is STILL just running brain-dead Windows? Why don't they Give Up on Windows and use their existing Linux
version in Azure? Steam has already proven that Windows software runs better on Linux.

Not to mention that games are far more demanding than Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Will MS ever come out of the Dark Ages? To quote Edmund BlackAdder, "To you, Baldrick, the Renaissance was just something that
happened to other people, wasn't it?"

They're not priced for consumers, they're for entrepreneurs and devs
to fight over. And those people will figure out if this means of
getting RAM/VRAM is cheaper than whatever a competitor offers. It
seems an awful risky gamble to me. A way to become poor in a hurry.
