It was never going to happen because Disney+ cancelled Doctor Whoke
after they realised that Davies had swindled them. Davies already knew
this, but despite knowing of the show's imminent cancellation he tried
to swindle Paramount+ as well until the BBC sacked him.

Now he's trying to blame it all on Disney+ not agreeing to share the
rights to screen the episodes first, but the rights for 2026 when ST:
SNW was set to air had already reverted to the BBC which had run out of
    money, hence Davies' sacking.

I'm not so sure he misrepresented it. When that deal was struck,
Disney was still pretty deeply committed to progressivism. It has
pulled back since then, and DW's failure may be part of why.

Ron DeSantis taking away it's tax breaks and self governing status for attempting to pervert children's education and supporting perverts that
tried to indoctrinate and sexually groom them would have more to do with
it. It's also the reason why Bob Chapek was sacked as CEO.

As a practicing male lesbian, I'm seeing Chapek's side more than agreeing
with DeSatan who is no more than a corrupt poser. Chapek was only
partially correct for staying neutral until the employees protested.

Of course you won't hear DeSatan's side. He was grandstanding. It cost
them both. so you'll see things like this:

"Amongst all of Disney’s CEOs in their history, Bob Chapek is arguably
the worst of them all and did so much damage to the company in just a
few years. But why did Disney hire Bob Chapek in the first place if he
was proven to be so unqualified for the job? It’s time to look at a
small, yet chaotic part of Disney’s history where they were left in the
hands of the worst CEO they’ve ever had."

    He did.

What people say at a comic-con panel isn't necessarily a true
reflection of what will happen in the real world. We can all
hope for things. Sometime more important stuff, like contracts
and legalities, will get in the way of our dreams though...

Disney had exclusive overseas distribution rights for Doctor
Who... the BBC couldn't do a deal with Paramount unless Disney
    allowed it.

When that deal was struck, Disney was still pretty deeply
    committed to progressivism.

Yeah, but not progressive enough to let another streaming
service have one of it's exclusively licensed shows!

    No shit Sherlock!

It was never going to happen as Paramount and Disney don't
play nice with each other now they both have their own
    streaming services.

It was just RTD and his mad BIG ideas that end up being like
a floppy willy on sex night...

If you believe only about 5% of anything RTD says in public
you won't be far off the mark...

In fairness, it probably wasn't a bad aspiration to try and
boost Doctor Who to a wider audience. Although there probably
would already have been some in-built crossover among the
    fans of both franchises.

But if RTD was going to be writing any of those Doctor Who /
Star Trek episodes I'm not sure how much different they would
have been - quality wise - to what we got in Season 14 & 15.

So I don't think we've missed out on much.
