Broadview was the immigration detention transit point in the Chicago
western suburbs, intended to hold detainees for hours so that
transportation could be arranged to larger facilities. It became a
massive detention facility inadequate for the number of detainees and
the lenght of time they were held. It was the focus of protests. Before
the Democratic primary, numerous politicians and candidates showed their progressivism by showing up.

It attracted Trump's anti-protestor crackdown. There were politicians
arrested and legal difficulties forced one to drop out of the 9th
congressional district primary. A group of protestors charged with anti
ICE/CPB violence were charged with a series of felonies and
misdemeanors. It was clear from the beginning that there was nearly
nothing to prosecute. Little by little, felony charges were dropped.
They were still facing misdemeanor charges till the very disgusted judge
found there was grand jury tampering by prosecutors, like false
presentation of facts, ex parte communication, and forcing dismissal of
jurors who were skeptical. What really frosted the judge was violation
of rules of, about a month ago, when it became clear that the
transcripts of jury proceedings were heavily edited and redacted.

Aside from one *MAJOR* issue with her, I kind of liked that carpetbagging candidate for Congress (she lost) who was one of the arrestees.

And now she's said she'll file for compensation from the Slush Fund.

    Should be interesting...

    Anti-Semitism?

I kind of liked that carpetbagging candidate for Congress (she lost)

    She withdrew.

Too bad, since they factually were guilty of that which they were accused.
That goofy aspiring Squad-member Kat Abughazaleh is on video committing the crime in 4K resolution. No question she was guilty. All the AUSAs had to do
was follow the proper procedures and she'd be behind bars instead of measuring the drapes in the office down the hall from Occasional-Cortex and Ilhan Omar.

She came in second. Daniel Biss was nominated to succeed Jan Shakowsky, Illinois 9th.
