Karen Bass is now bragging on social media that California is so corrupt that she has the city government contributing to her re-election campaign at a rate of 6 to 1.

Yes, you read that right. The city of Los Angeles gives the tax money of its citizens to the mayor's re-election campaign. (This is a city, FYI, that's so bankrupt, it can't afford to even clean the trash off the streets but somehow it has the money to give to Democrats to help them get re-elected.)
Why in god's green earth is the city making donations to a political campaign?!?
This means citizens who don't vote for Bass or support her nevertheless have
to pay to fund her campaign with their tax dollars. If the election hadn't
been stolen from Spencer Pratt, we'd have a situation where only the Democrat candidate would get use tax money to run for election. If you're a Republican voter, you'd have to pay to help a Democrat win whether you wanted to or not.
How can this possibly be legal? This is the sort of thing they used to do in secret because they knew how shady it was. Now the corruption is so endemic, they do it right out in the open and brag about it.
Third world banana republics are less corrupt than this goddam place.
