The S.W.A.T. Exiles trailer is here and the stakes have never been
higher. The first look previews Shemar Moore's new team and the
biggest challenge yet. The STARZ spin-off takes the character into a
new chapter filled with challenges he has not faced before.

The series gives Hondo a fresh setting, focusing on his work
pressure. This time, the problems ahead could have consequences that
go beyond a single mission.

What happens in S.W.A.T. Exiles' trailer?
The one-minute-and-46-second trailer begins with a mission that ends
in tragedy. A young operator named Nico Reyes is killed during a
botched raid, forcing Hondo to leave the LAPD. Commander Robert
Hicks later offers him another path by asking him to build an
experimental S.W.A.T. unit.

The squad involves recruits who have struggled to get their chance.
Lucy Barrett plays Sammy Bishop, a gun-show influencer with something
to prove. Freddy Miyares plays Ethan Cole, a tactical savant, while
Zyra Gorecki portrays Cassidy Reed, a guarded recruit determined to
prove herself.

Ronen Rubinstein plays Jude Callan, a troubled wildcard on the team.
Adain Bradley portrays Malik Anderson, an ambitious recruit hiding
secrets. Hondo now has to find a way to make the group work together.
The team also faces dangerous threats across Los Angeles. The trailer
features cartel assassins and gun-runners, putting the recruits in
danger.

Hondo discovers someone within the unit could be leaking information.
As he investigates, he suspects that the S.W.A.T. program itself may
be targeted. The trailer suggests powerful forces want to replace it
with a private operation.

The spin-off also brings back familiar faces from the original series.
Patrick St. Esprit returns as Hicks, while Jay Harrington reprises his
role as David "Deacon" Kay. David Lim is also back as Victor Tan,
connecting the new series to the original show.

S.W.A.T. Exiles premieres Friday, September 25, on STARZ. New episodes
will arrive weekly on Fridays through the STARZ app and its other
streaming and on-demand platforms. The series has also been renewed
for a second season ahead of its premiere.
