I found this video to epitomize the subject line of this post. A woman
who is trying get a lift to work from a friend attracts police attention
when a witness sees what she takes to be potential domestic violence
between the woman and her friend. Police pull her over to investigate
but find that the witness was completely mistaken. But the woman reacts
so unreasonably that the cops start digging into the couple and both the
woman and her friend (father of her child) end up in cuffs and heading
for jail. If she had just behaved a bit reasonably, they would have been
on her way without even a ticket. (Mind you there SHOULD have been a
ticket because there was no licence plate on the car but that never even
came up in the video.)
