I've heard the same things said about men not wanting yo go to gymns if
there are women. They wear something provocative, then record men
noticing, tnen make a post to complain about unwanted attention.

If they expect to get recorded, men won't approach women at all. Makes
starting families difficukt.

interaction, but the truth is that kids are unaffordable luxuries to
people in their 20s what with sky-high housing costs.

An easy tests for these theories is to find areas in the world where
social media, especially among the younger people, hasn't take over.
Then see what their social life is like. Are kids getting together,
having fun, dating and even getting married or not?

I'm sure there are places where this could be put to the test.

Not just house prices ... it's the ridiculous prices of EVERYTHING!!!
Most of that is due to pure greed. :-(

In my day a chocolate bar cost 10c ... these days they cost $10, and
are expected to rise in price again soon. Not only does ithe price
rise, but the size is getting smaller ("shrinkflation").

In my day a Star Wars toy figure cost under $10 ... these days they
cost closer to $30.

No social media / gadgets would mean you have to look at the "lost
tribes" in Africa and South America ... but then they would hardly be a
good representation of modern humans. :-)

Many countries have or are planning to ban social media for kids, but
it's simply not going to work and there are easy ways around it, partly because the social media companies couldn't care less as long as they
keep making money. (Having to upload a scan of your driver license or
passport to 'prove' your age is a ridiculous idea that only a moron
would do - just last week hundreds of thousands of such images were
found for sale on the 'dark web').

Africa, continues to reproduce with many large families, far in excess
of the replacement rate of 2.1. You may want to refine that theory to
say that SOME of the major cultures are on the verge of major population collapses.

Actually, on the verge is probably understating it dramatically. I've
already seen videos that say China's official population of 1.4 billion
people may be TWICE the actual population and that around 700 million
may be the true population. Just about EVERY Western country has a birth
rate well below the replacement rate and has for years. >

Yeah, but my understanding is that even there birth rates are falling. I
think they used to be something ridiculous like 6. Now I think they are between 2-3(?), and falling.

So the replacement population rate is apparently falling worldwide. I
think if trends continue, even Africa may eventually fall below 2.1.

How hard would it be for a kid who's under the ban to just get his older brother to create an account for him, then give him the login info? Unless the age verification is ongoing, like every time you log in, you have to let it take a picture of you and run an AI comparison to the picture you used to make the account, it would be simple matter for friends, siblings, even parents, to create accounts for them and just let them use it.
