SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (KABC) -- Homeowners at the Villa Moura
condominium
complex in San Clemente are pushing back against a more than $26,000
emergency assessment for roof replacements, saying the cost is placing
a
financial burden on residents and questioning whether the assessment
was
legally imposed.
Poor nickel-millionaires and their hoity-toity gated community HOAs.
Problem is not usually those in resident but the owners of condos that
rent them out. If there is a lot of rentals they avoid normal
maintenance costs until a crisis situation is reached.
Most Americans are fucking stupid. They think the wealthy are smarter and better than they are, so they bow down like loyal Subjects to a King.
It's understandable but sad that so many fail to recognize that the U.S. Constitution was written with many compromises by the original States.
Although needed at the time to build on the Articles of Confederation,
the Constitution is far from perfect. Most of those compromises
addressed highly controversial subjects. Several of those controversies
have never been satisfactorily resolved. The adoption of Electoral
College is a prime example. The election of a President is not done by plebiscite. Although uncommon in the history of the U.S., more
recently, the Presidential candidate receiving the majority of votes
from the Electoral College did not receive the majority of the popular
vote. The current President of the U.S. won the popular vote in the
2024 election. The majority of voters did NOT vote for Donald Trump.
Additionally, too many people fail to distinguish between a country's government and that country's population.
