There was a significant demonstration against illegal immigration in the
UK yesterday. A substantial number of men clad all in black and wearing balaclavs turned up in Dover yesterday and blocked access to the port
for several hours, demanding that the government do something to stop
the illegal immigration that is coming via the small (and increasingly
larger) boats crossing the English Channel. No one was hurt and no one
was arrested.
The local MP (from the Labour Party) was concerned about the traffic disruptions. I wonder if he was just as concerned when Just Stop Oil protesters literally glued themselves to roads? Surprisingly, the BBC
did NOT insist that this was a "far right" protest.
