    Yep.

    What did you watch?

I watched a bunch of videos on dungeon mastering and a couple on
    prehistory.

I also tried WandaVision. I watched several episodes, on Hulu. It
was okay, but most of the fun was the premise. They didn't seem
to know what to do from there, so I'm not surprised it wasn't
    renewed.

But it was renewed. Not as "WandaVision," but "Agatha All Along" which
picks up where WandaVidion ended with the return of the some of the same characters to see what happens next. "Agatha All Along" resolves some WandaVision hanging thread and continues the story of Wanda's family.
Call it a spin off if you like, but it's part of a trilogy of
interrelated shows that's telling one continuous story. The final
chapter, "Vision Quest" debuts on October 14.

This is a multiday catch up. Over the past couple of days I watched:

Lanterns (HBOMax) "Dirt and Stars" - Season finale. I was kind of
hoping for some budget busting battles, but I think they put those in
episode 5 and the rest of the series was was an epilogue.

Monkey Shines (4K disc) 1988 horror movie written and directed by George
    A. Romero (based on a book of the same name). The movie follows a man
who is parallelized after being hit by a car. His best friend just
happens to be a mad scientist and gives him a monkey to help around the
house. What the mad scientist doesn't tell his friend is he's been experimenting on the monkey to make it smarter. The monkey also becomes homicidal. And for reasons that are never properly explained it also
develops a psychic bond with it's new owner prompting the monkey to kill
for the paralyzed man. I haven't watched this since it came out in the
late 80s. It was much better than I remembered. And my first time
watching it in the proper aspect ratio. There was also a pretty good director's commentary track with Romero detailing the insane stories of getting this movie made.

WandaVision (4K disc) - Picking up after the events of Avengers: Endgame
Wanda is grieving the loss of the love of her life. She uses her powers
to create the perfect world with a husband and kids but at the expense
of causing a small town full of people to suffer a never ending torment.
This was one of my favorite Marvel TV series. This benefits from
repeat viewings seeing what a particular character is doing from a
    different perspective.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (4K disc) Picking up after
the events of "WandaVision," Wanda is desperate to bring back the happy
family life she had during "WandaVision" even if she has to kill someone
to do it. It's up to Doctor Strange to stop her, if he can. This is
one of my favorite MCU movies. It was directed by Sam Raimi and he
filmed it like one of his horror movies.

Agatha All Along (Disney+) Picking up after the events of "WandaVision"
and "Multiverse of Madness" Agatha has been freed from Wanda's spell
thanks to help from a mysterious teenager. Agatha forms a coven of
witches and along with the mysterious teenage boy they walk the witch's
road in a Quest for power and Vision, I mean answers. This was pretty
good and on a second viewing, there's an added layer knowing the double meaning behind a lot of things.

Ah, this must be where that "Agatha All Along" meme came from.
Well, now I know who the S1 villain is. :-)

Maybe the showrunners do know what they're doing, then. To me, it
felt like they had no plan, just took a premise and started
    throwing spaghetti at the wall.

"Agatha All Along" actually came from WandaVision. You may not have

One issue, and you may feel it in episodes 8 and 9, is the show was
*supposed* to be 10 episodes. But COVID happened during production and
they had to scramble to turn a 10 episode series into a 9 episode
series. So a lot of stuff kind of got rushed in the finale because they
lost an episode. It's not super obviously but there are a few
characters who suddenly disappear without explanation and lack of payoff
    for a couple of others.

    What did you watch?

The premiere of the new Private Eyes sequel, Private Eyes West Coast.

As the name implies, Shade and Everett have moved to the West Coast -
Victoria BC to be precise (they manage Douglas St which is one of the
main drags of that fair city) - but their life circumstances are
somewhat different. I'll spoil a *little* but I'll try not to go
overboard so that you feel no desire to watch it.

Shade and Everett are married with child, a baby named Dex (a nod to
Dexter perhaps?). She is a full-time mom and he has just published a
memoir about his hockey career. There is a live-in half brother with
unusual skills. The previous supporting cast are all mentioned but not
present but there is a new supporting cast introduced. The couple
attends an event and witness a stabbing and catch a woman with a knife
in her hands standing over the body. But Angie doesn't believe she is
the culprit and they start to investigate, even though they aren't PI's
any more. One thing leads to another and they eventually catch the real attacker, constantly dodging the detective on the case, who looks like
    she'll be a recurring character.

It's very reminiscent of the original show in terms of the tone and
style so if you liked the original, you should like this too. The
initial season is 10 episodes; it's too soon to tell if there will be additional series.

Also, I rewatched 44 Minutes, a twenty year old film about the North
Hollywood bank robbery in which two very heavily armed bank robbers
fired many hundreds of rounds at officers armed only with shotguns and 9
mm handguns until SWAT finally arrived. I've seen this a few times and
always appreciate it for its close connection to reality since it is essentially a re-enactment of a real bank robbery from 1997 that took
place in North Hollywood. Stars included Michael Madsen, Ron Livingston
and Mario van Peebles with a role by Francis Capra (who played Weevil in Veronica Mars).

No worries. It's been obvious for some time that something's
wrong with Agnes, so all you really told me is that her real name
is Agatha. I still haven't learned what her deal is.

Still not sure what is up with Sinestro. If he can make his own

Sinestro was given resources to make a lantern for a ring that already existed. Given more time (and resources) Sinestro will probably figure
out how to make a ring too.

We may get some of these answers next year when "Man of Tomorrow" comes
out. Since Stewart is going to be Earth's Green Lantern going forward,
odds are the Guardians are just going to drop the matter. Or the
Guardians may have bigger fish to fry such as Sinestro and a yellow
lantern corps. At which point they may want all the help they can get.
