I've been enjoying her presentations. I especially appreciate her
position that the poitical spin from left and right is terribly wrong.
Did you recognize the courtyard of that one school from various movies?

I can't honestly say that the courtyard was familiar. What films did you
see it in?

I first saw it in Lawrence of Arabia. Maybe it was just similar.

Some highlights synopsized
Four things came together fueling the riots.
culture of French schools,
the French state
Western white guilt in the age of social media
mass migration
In poorer areas, students miss 20% of teaching our because absent
teachers were not replaced. Despite absenteeism teachers are nearly impossible to fire. Some of the rioting in poorer areas is explained by students with little connection to their teachers, if they even have
one. Also, teachers teach lessons, they won't build a connection to
students nor communicate with parents about problems. For these reaspns,
the kids hate their schools and teachers.
They are assigned to university at random.
Once you view France as the ultimate oppressor of history, that means
you rebel against your own country, very different from past mass
protests which opposed the government but not the country.
White guilt is new in these riots, nothin in common with how previous generations protested.
White guilt leads to rejection of Western values. This is how children
are taught.
How does mass migration fit in? white guilt means you aren't trying to
build a shared culture but sew dissent and resentment along racial
lines. Small groups of immigrants can assimilate, but large groups,
where their children are taught to hate their country? It's impossible.
