She made general tso's chickpeas which was surprisingly good. She even
didn't make any real substitutions except for mirin instead of rice
vinegar. She even had sesame seeds. The chickpeas were fried, so they
weren't mushy.
She found pomegranate molasses in the regular grocery store. She remembers
it was so exotic not long ago, but is now more available.. she didn’t remember the recipe that called for it.
