The last three times I have tried to post here, it never
showed up. I may have messed up a setting but can't find
it. Using MicroPlanet Gravity

day before "Disk numbers have changed", with replies.

There are three threads titled "disk numbering", two of them have
replies ... I gather E-S had/has some propagation issues?

He just answered that he can now see the posts, after fussing with
settings, without changing them.

You posted three times yesterday (at least). From your headers today,
you're posting from Eternal September, and IIRC they have had some
lag-type problems lately.

But it may not be them. Did you re-download article headers after
posting? You should allow a reasonable time, at least a few minutes,
then double-click on the newsgroup in question and press Ctrl+H or
select Newsgroup » Retrieve headers in the menu.

Please don't post tests in "real" newsgroups. Use misc.test or
alt.test -- that's what they're there for.

And you should always check your Outbox (you may have a button;
otherwise look in the View menu) to make sure you actually posted. If
an error is shown, fix what's wrong and only then repost.

If the article's in your Outbox but no error or pending indication,
then you did send it to the server. If it doesn't show up when you
follow the steps I mentioned a few minutes ago, then that's between
you and your newsgroup server.

Yeap, I often suggest that if someone is having troubles posting to a
'real' newsgroup, such as alt.comp.os.windows-11, make a post that would
be "On Topic" from that newsgroup like, maybe, "When will support for
Win-11 cease??"

If that post makes it to the newsgroup, you know things are working. If
it doesn't show up in the newsgroup, THEN you know you have problems.

If it works in a *.test newsgroups, it works here.

As long as it is a global test group, not one of your nntp provider.
