11 Big Sur (2020) – Major UI redesign (rounded icons etc.), Control Centre on

12 Monterey (2021) – Universal Control (between Mac/iPad), AirPlay to Mac, Shortcuts app on Mac, Focus modes.

13 Ventura (2022) – Stage Manager window management, Continuity Camera, Freeform app, System Settings replaces System Preferences.

14 Sonoma (2023) – Desktop widgets, Game Mode, more video-conferencing tools,
    Safari profiles, web apps.

26 Tahoe (2025) – New “Liquid Glass” UI redesign, major Spotlight overhaul,
native Phone app, last major version to support Intel Macs.

'14' --> '26'?? If I were anti-Apple, I might ask is this an example of
how well 'Apple People' count ..... but then Windows went from '8.1' -->
'10', so maybe, MS can't count either!! ;-P

I played about with Stage Manager when first it was launched but found
it didn't help much with Usenet posting! ;-)

I saw it as a silly gimmick. Could not imagine using it. This was doubly true on my laptop with a smaller screen. Just a bit screen real estate waster. Then
I used it... and I love it. Super easy to swap between groups of windows -- in
my case usually two. Helps keep me organized. I use that in addition to Spaces
and I also use tabs a lot in Pages and Numbers. I do a LOT of multitasking. LOL!

'Stage Manager' sounds a bit like the "Boss Switch" of old (DOS-times,
maybe.) where you could be playing Games (or whatever) at Work .... and
then, when the Boss walked past, you could rapidly change to a
Work-focused screen ...... Not that I ever did that! ;-P

Maybe a bit... but more visual. You can see the other groups on the side. Virtual Desktops (or Spaces, in Apple-speak) allow you to hide things from the screen like that better.

They have redone their numbering on all platforms to match the year... but sorta like cars do it where it is the next year. Given how they come out near the end of the year I can get this.

    I >AM< anti-Apple - first after a bad experience when I moved to PC
away from a late model Apple II and later when Apple refused to help
me re-initializing my late wife's iPad (which still sits on my
    bookshelf unused)
