Crap is too rich of a word to describe it too.

The first act of the new BBC Director General should be to sack Davies
and officially cancel Doctor Who. Then once officially cancelled it can
be revived from where it ended in The Doctor Falls or from the TVM.

One day - when AI becomes cheap enough for the BBC to remake

Whether they turn out better than some of the ropey animation

How can RTD be gone before the Christmas special you clown,
when he's the one producing it?!

Try thinking before you type your gobbledygook...

There are many ways he could be gone before Christmas.

Dave didn't say that. He said before the Christmas special,
which RTD is actually writing and producing, so he can't
    leave before it!

I expect RTD to write it, produce it and then quit, leaving
somebody else to pick up whatever mess he creates in it.

And we all know he's going to go out with a bang and throw the
    whole kitchen sink in...

It's not started filming yet. No one wants to to play the
Doctor. The BBC has still got time to cancel it.

    Wishful thinking.

Don't believe everything you see on YouTube... there will be no
shortage of actors wanting to play the Doctor.

Well yes, technically there is... but what makes you think
the BBC want to, after going to the trouble of commissioning
    it in the first place?

They should use AI to reconstruct the episodes the BBC
    deleted.

    Ian Levine already tried that.

    The results were shit

    Shit is being generous!

[Links removed for the sanity of others.]

Did he recreate all the other missing episodes of The Daleks'
    Master Plan too?

    Yes.

Maybe I could watch those to fill in the gaps.

What's wrong with just listening to the audio of those episodes?

Maybe the BBC cans the project.

That wouldn't be a good look when they are trying to sell
"Doctor Who" to a new co-partner!

We love this show, that we want you to pay £/$ for, we've
decided to cancel it. But it's really great, you should
    buy it anyway!

Nah, can't see it. It's just wishful thinking.

Anyone seen the other Bennett Sister?

    No, I haven't watched that.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense. It's a starring role in a well-funded BBC
show. Of course people would want the role, even if they aren't A-
    listers.

So Ian Levine is not a very good director compared to Douglas Camfield.

The AI seems to be doing a much better job than most of the animated reconstructions though.

I guess someone who suffers from face-blindness, like you,
won’t mind the AI characters looking totally different between
one shot and the next. And never looking like the real actors.

For the rest of us, that tends to be a bit distracting.

FWIW, AI will definitely improve in that department.

Yes. I prefer the Loose Cannon telesnaps over the AI
reconstructions ... or animations. But generally, the audio CD's
    of the missing episodes suffice.
