Hi Melissa, what are you doing in a suicide group?

Chosen death interests me. I think society should be more open to it.
For instance, I'd like to see MAID available to anyone over a certain
age, maybe 70, without needing to prove that a much worse death is
    already in progress.

A couple of years ago I wrote my Will and also did the legal documents
to appoint an Enduring Power of Medical Attorney .... and I did my best
to leave my Niece in no doubt what-so-ever that She is NOT to turn the life-preserving machines off as long as I can afford them.

Hey, everyone's different. My main hope is that death is painless, not
that it's far away. We all die eventually, after all.

If we could upload immortal digital copies of ourselves, would you do
it? What if your physical body had to die at the same time?

Hey, everyone's different. My main hope is that death is painless,
not that it's far away. We all die eventually, after all.

I think my Father did it just about perfectly. Mind you, when he was
born in 1919, he was something like two-three months premature. So he
was lucky to make it to his FIRST Birthday, let alone his EIGHTY-FIRST Birthday!!

Now-a-days, that would still be a bit of a Hassel but in 1919?? WOW!!

Anyway, on this day, my father had spent the day with his youngest
daughter, her husband and their two daughters (2y.o. & 1y.o.). After
Dinner, my sister took him home so he could watch the evening Football
    match (involving His Team) uninterrupted.

Next day, my sister was trying to contact him but the phone wasn't being answered. As my Father was as Deaf as a Doorpost, that, in itself,
wasn't a worry, but my sister drive back over to the house and went
inside and found him DEAD, sitting in his chair in front of the T.V.,
two cups of tea, undrunk, by his aide (two cups cause a Teabag would
make two cups and you don't want to be wasteful, do you??) and his Jack Russell dog by his side.

If you've got to go (and we do), THAT is a pretty decent way to go!! I
mean, he seemingly didn't even see his Team lose that night!!

Is there even anyone in a.s.h. anymore...? Am I just
    screaming into a void?
Nope, everyone here finally bought that rope and chair :(

I am here. I don't post here often, but I might start if
    there were more traffic.

Hi Melissa, what are you doing in a suicide group?

Chosen death interests me. I think society should be more open to
it. For instance, I'd like to see MAID available to anyone over a
certain age, maybe 70, without needing to prove that a much worse
    death is already in progress.

A couple of years ago I wrote my Will and also did the legal
documents to appoint an Enduring Power of Medical Attorney .... and
I did my best to leave my Niece in no doubt what-so-ever that She
is NOT to turn the life-preserving machines off as long as I can
    afford them.

Do NOT turn the Machines off. If she has to sell my House, Fine,
.... Sell my Car, Fine .... just DON'T turn the machines off!!

Hopefully, I just drop dead some day!! ;-P

Hey, everyone's different. My main hope is that death is painless,
not that it's far away. We all die eventually, after all.

I think my Father did it just about perfectly. Mind you, when he was
born in 1919, he was something like two-three months premature. So he
was lucky to make it to his FIRST Birthday, let alone his EIGHTY-FIRST >Birthday!!

    AFL?

Next day, my sister was trying to contact him but the phone wasn't being >answered. As my Father was as Deaf as a Doorpost, that, in itself,
wasn't a worry, but my sister drive back over to the house and went
inside and found him DEAD, sitting in his chair in front of the T.V.,
two cups of tea, undrunk, by his aide (two cups cause a Teabag would
make two cups and you don't want to be wasteful, do you??) and his Jack >Russell dog by his side.

If you've got to go (and we do), THAT is a pretty decent way to go!! I
mean, he seemingly didn't even see his Team lose that night!!
