    One of Paramount+'s long-running crime dramas has finally been
    renewed, ahead of the TV show's return this year. Over two
    decades since the original's inception, Criminal Minds:
    Evolution is officially coming back for Season 20.

    "The series follows the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, a team
    of profilers tasked with analyzing and capturing the country's
    most dangerous criminals, before they strike again," reads the
    official logline

    In addition to the renewal announcement, the streamer has also
    announced the release date for Criminal Minds: Evolution
    Season 19. Nearly a year after wrapping up its eighteenth
    season, the revival show is finally returning on May 28,
    exclusively on Paramount+. Meanwhile, it has also been
    confirmed that the streamer is currently targeting a 2027
    release for Season 20.

    Criminal Minds: Evolution stars Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook,
    Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Zach Gilford, and RJ Hatanaka
    with Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster. Season 19 will feature
    guest stars Connor Storrie (Heated Rivalry), Justin Kirk
    (Angels in America), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Clark
    Gregg (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Paul F. Tompkins
    (Bojack Horseman), Cress Williams (Black Lightning), Kofi

    Cabral (Mayans), Jeri Ryan (Star Trek Voyager), Rob Yang
    (The Menu), Nicholas Gonzalez (The Good Doctor), Inny Clemons
    (Judging Amy), Nicole Pacent (Westworld), Dash Mihok (Ray
    Donovan), Joseph Cross (Big Little Lies) and Cara Jade Myers
    (Killers of the Flower Moon).

    The police procedural show is executive-produced by showrunner
    Erica Messer, alongside Breen Frazier, Chris Barbour, Glenn
    Kershaw, and Mark Gordon. It is produced by 20th Television and
    CBS Studios. When the show was revived in 2022, Season 16
    received an approval rating of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.
