were a handful of titles offered in 4K. I spotted Spring Breakers.
Maybe accessing it as an app in a Web browser is different.

Yeah, it may be possible that cable (VOD) will give you some of those
flicks in 4k. (I doubt I would get them 4k from Spectrum, so that may be
a Comcast only thing...)
But on the app, you have to pay extra for 4k - it doesn't come as part
of the package that those of us who are getting the app via our cable >packages are getting.

Hmm, just brought up Dune on the web browser (AT&T) and it definitely
lists 4K as being provided. I don't have a 4K monitor set up so I
couldn't verify if it was being provided or not.

So it appears that you can get 4K UHD from the site using a web

I started this thread to point out that if I had the right monitor and
used the app in the set-top box, then then handful of 4k movies are
included. I did not try to use the app in a browser on my laptop.
Basically, if you are a cable subscriber who wants 4k, I think your only
option is to unsubscribe from getting HBO from cable, and subscribe
directly through the HBO Max app for their top "premium" plan.
Needless to say, I am not willing to do that.

What HBO Max flicks "with 4k" used to say was basically a disclaimer - >something like "4k viewing available based on plan". I dunno if it still >says that, but if it does, you might have read that as "I get 4k!" when
what it really means is "This is not 4k unless you've got the top
premium plan!!"
