Yet more "reality" TV drivel. :-(
Netflix's 'Messy' Hit TV Show Renewed for Season 2
--------------------------------------------------
Netflix is ready to dip back into the waters of a hit television
series, renewing one of the biggest and messiest new shows on the
streaming platform.
What messy Netflix show is back for Season 2?
Age of Attraction, the new series that premiered recently on
Netflix, is back for a second season. The streaming platform has
renewed the show for a new season, shortly after its season finale
premiered on March 25. The show puts a weird twist on the dating
reality formula.
The show sees singles connect with one another with one major
caveat: that they have no idea how old the other person is. The
show's premise is to test the connection based purely on
compatibility and spark, with ages revealed only if they're ready
to move forward together.
"Age of Attraction throws age out the window as singles search for
their soulmates - but will the years come between them? In this
reality dating series, connections are put to the test as
participants navigate chemistry, life stages, and the question of
whether love is truly ageless," reads a synopsis of the show.
In a statement on the renewal, Velvet Hammer Media (the producers
of the show) co-founders and Age of Attraction executive producers
Jennifer O'Connell and Rebecca Quinn praised the "messy" nature of
the show as one that makes it even more real.
"We love concepts that are impossible to look away from and Age of
Attraction nailed that from day one. It's messy, it's real and
that's what makes it fun to watch. Huge thanks to Netflix for
embracing this dating experiment with us," O'Connell and Quinn said
(via The Hollywood Reporter). "The response has been incredible,
and we're excited to push it even further in season two."
