To be fair, that is an /ad hominem/, or personal attack, against
Trump, rather than an argument against his politics. I make those
    silly slip-ups all the time.

But that doesn't mean Trump isn't still a surreally stupid,
psychopathic clown who exhibits with humiliating profundity all
that has been wrong with the United States.

Trump mistakenly called the Islamic Republic of Iran the “Islamic Republic of Japan” while speaking to reporters moments ago about Tehran’s reported attacks on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait yesterday.

“We had 111 missiles shot by the Islamic Republic of Japan,” Trump said. “It was shot at the aircraft area over a period of about one hour — 111 missiles going to a very expensive ship. And every one of those missiles was knocked down.”

The president continued touting the U.S. response to the alleged Iranian attacks, saying, “It didn’t hit the ship, and you know bad things happen right when that happened.”

This is seriously screwed, he's destroying not only the US but the
world economy for years to come.
