Nobody wants Disney!
The BBC allowed Chibnall to rewrite 60 years of history, then brought
in RTD - a bigoted, one dimensional hack of a writer, and the show died
a miserable death. I'm sure he'll blame "toxic fandom", because that's
how predictable these people are.
Doesn't make any difference. We're DONE with this crap.

He blamed "toxic fandom" back during his first run in 2005 when fans didn't >like garbage like "Love and Monsters" or that stupid episode with the fat- >penguins. You might say he was attacking the fans "before it was cool" to >do so.

L&M sucks like Gridlock and Midnight.

The latter pair grew on me after a rewatch; the former did not (and
has never).
AFAIC RTD's second run consisted more of episodes along the lines of
L&M (the space babies being a particularly cringeworthy early example)
and he's made no secret of having wanting to do musicals, etc first
time round, but such excesses were constrained by the BBC.
pretty good in the Moffat-penned Joy to the World
