No, it's not. It's an adaptation of Stephen King's novella. It's not a remake of the Schwarzenegger debacle because it tells King's actual story. The 90s movie just used the title and King's name for marketing purposes and told a totally different story. If this movie was a remake, it would tell that different story, not King's actual story.
