My dream would be to see a show on an entirely new ship with a rotating
crew including the captain. Maybe seeing a return of a character some
years later in a more senior role because, you know, he or she would've
    been promoted.

That does sound more interesting. We could see the world
    move on.

At one point, I and others thought we'd see some movies
starring Captain Sulu. Didn't happen, though.

I know what you mean. A friend of mine, also a trekkie, and I sometimes
discuss whata missed opportunity it was to have an entire series
surrounding Capt Jellico. We've also talked about the missed opportunity
of a Sulu series on the Excelsior.

My friend says Sulu kept a tight ship. Not sure how much of that came
    from books or fan fiction.

I haven't seen this video yet. At this point, star trek is effectively
dead. Redefined into some other fucked up shit.

We have our legacy content. At least they can't fuck that up, other than >adding fisher price graphics to TOS. At least they didn't edit the

moving on to be XO on another ship or get captain. Maybe promote to
captain while being XO. Or see characters dying off, like game of

This series has been so perverted that it needs to be killed off. It's
a shame Hollywood has killed so many great series.

I wanted to see the adventures of Captain Garrett of the enterprise C. It
gives them a timeline before the tech became too magic and a war with the Klingons and a ship named enterprise and the female captain they wanted,
and that bittersweet haunting ending waiting in the future. And instead,
    they gave us Voyager.

Yeah, it’s when Avery Brooks started to become Hawk. The transition became final when he shaved his head and grew the mustache and goatee for the

I still wish he’d beaten Picard to a pulp. I mean, the guy did murder his wife.

I still have to watch Lower Decks. From what I"ve read. It could've been
here or another newsgroup, that lower decks effectively made "discovery" non-cannon or alternate universe. Can't be happier by that news.

I watched DS9 for the first and only time back in 2009 when I was home
sick with the swine flu. I may have to watch it again. The shows play
quick when you can watch them one after the other.

    Currently watching Andor.

I really loved STIV as a kid, but watched it a few years ago and thought
it was quite dumb. I saw wrath for the first time in decades when it was
on TV and really enjoyed it.

    I'll never watch it again.
