Although he doesn't put it as crudely as I did in my subject line,
that's the gist of the theme of this video from my favourite British
(ex- and hopefully future) politician, Jacob Rees-Mogg. Rees-Mogg served
in Boris Johnson's Conservative government as is a very successful businessman.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbgSPt7B-2s [11 minutes]

I particularly liked his explanation for how a British pound from 1914
was SEVEN HUNDRED times more valuable than a current British pound.

Someone that intelligent was an associate of that fool Johnson? (The Conservative P.M.s post Johnson were even bigger disasters.)

    Very concise and clear explanation.

Rees-Mogg is my favourite British politician. He's posh as hell but
despite that he comes across as very relatable and witty as can be. (He literally had his nanny driving him around in a Rolls the first time he campaigned for someone before he could even vote yet when asked, he can
cite the correct price for a loaf of bread or a jug of milk.) I've seen comments from 5th generation Labour supporters who insist they really
like him despite him being the epitome of someone they should hate due
to his background and political affiliation.

His fellow parliamentarians jokingly called him The Member from the 19th Century. He lost his seat in the last election but I truly hope and
expect to see him back in Parliament in due course. He seems determined
to help bridge the gap between the Conservatives and Reform but I hope
he joins Reform if he can't bring the two parties together. It would be
    a shame to lose him.

At both the producer's and wholesale level too, and he can tell you the
    cost of all the inputs!

Sounds like he never let his background as growing up wealthy keep him
    from gaining keen insights.
