CBS Renews 2 Popular TV Shows for Season 2
    ------------------------------------------
CBS is renewing two of its most popular TV shows for a second
season, in news that's sure to have fans excited.

What CBS TV shows are being renewed for a Season 2?
Boston Blue and Sheriff Country, two shows that are actually
spin-offs of other projects at CBS, will be back for Season 2.
Boston Blue, a spin-off of Blue Bloods, is a police procedural
that stars Donnie Wahlberg as NYPD detective Danny Reagan. The
series follows Reagan taking a job with the Boston Police
Department, and the cases he and his partner get up to.

Alongside Wahlberg, Boston Blue also stars Sonequa Martin-Green,
Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson, Gloria Reuben, Marcus Scribner, and
Mika Amonsen. The series was developed by Brandon Sonnier and
    Brandon Margolis.

Sheriff Country, a spin-off of Fire Country, is another police
procedural, and stars Morena Baccarin as Mickey Fox, the sheriff
of a county in northern California. The series follows Fox as
she investigates criminal activity in the area, while also
    contending with her ex-convict father.

Alongside Baccarin, Sheriff Country stars Christopher Gorham,
Michele Weaver, Matt Lauria, W. Earl Brown, and Amanda Arcuri,
with recurring appearances by Caroline Rhea, Tony White, and
Mark Taylor. The series was created by Joan Rater, Tony Phelan,
    and Max Thieriot.

Both Boston Blue and Sheriff Country have been massive hits for
CBS after premiering during its fall lineup in October. Both
series have only had six episodes air, but are both averaging
more than 7 million viewers per episode, according to Nielsen
Live+7 multiplatform data (via Variety). In a statement on the
news, CBS Entertainment's president praised both shows.

"Two new shows on Friday night have become instant hits with
audiences quickly embracing 'Boston Blue' and 'Sheriff Country'
across broadcast and streaming," said Amy Reisenbach, president
of CBS Entertainment. "These early renewals reflect the power of
character-driven storytelling, compelling narratives and the
exceptional talent on both sides of the camera that make these
    series truly stand out."

For some bizarre reason, I keep thinking this is a rerun or revial
    of the Suzanne Summerds show.

You and I may be the only people that remember that, and I only remember it because a friend of mine was on it (I think in an unimpaired pilot or
    episode or something.)

I remember the show and recall watching it, but damn
if I can recall a single snippet. Even after reading
    the Wikipedia entry I'm lost...
