All I watched were more reruns. I mostly watched
Superstore. I'm getting close to Sandra and Jerry's
wedding, which is pretty awesome, but last night was just
the lame Tony arc.
I need a new sitcom. I tried DMV, but it didn't really
catch my interest. I may try St. Denis Medical next.

Hey, thanks for asking!
MAKING IT
A 1971 movie about a kid in high school that had Pamela Hensley in a non-speaking role. Notably, his mother is played by Joyce Van Patton and
her boyfriend is played by her real life, brother Dick Van Patton and they have smoochies! Ewww!

If you have AppleTV+ you might want to check out "The Studio." It is a satire series set in Hollywood. It follows a studio exec played by Seth Rogen and his wacky adventures to get movies made. Although I got a
little bored with it and I'm not sure if I ever finished all the
episodes or not.
On Sunday I watched:
Avatar (3D blu-ray) 2009 movie

I have no idea why they thought they could make DMV employees that were lazier and stupider than the real thing. Or that those of us who suffer at their hands would find it amusing to watch them.

I've never seen it. It was very popular at the time, but
when I asked people what it was about, they just raved
about the special effects. I concluded that the plot and
characters weren't interesting to anyone, so I skipped it.

The pronoun is referring to the show, silly.

Is that the one with Justin Bateman and "Steve Roads" from Married With Children?

If you do not exist do you actually need insurance to along with a
license?

I'm here to provide those jokes.
Annual? My state has had mandatory insurance for decades. The
requirement is satisfied by carrying a current ID card from the
insurance company. They do investigate a handful of randomly-selected
vehicle owners each year but no vehicle owner deals with this in person.
The enforcement group handles everything by mail. They aren't even at facilities the public goes to.
Your state is leading my state in the race to the bottom.

A couple of years ago I asked some friends who
said yes, that thumbprint deal was still in place.
Is the DMV continuing to get away with this garbage?
Thanks

The thumbprint isn't on the license itself but you do have to provide one to >get the license in the first place.

Yes, you have to show proof of insurance every year to get your registration renewed, and every other year, you have to show documentation showing your car
passed a smog check.
My company (USAA) doesn't cooperate with the CA DMV, so I have to go in person
every year to show them my insurance card in order to renew my registration. (The mail thing takes months to process and the two times I tried it, I ended up driving around with expired tags for a couple weeks before the new sticker arrived in the mail, so now I just go to the DMV and get it taken care of in an afternoon.)
