    decided to do serious college and is now in med school, hence

    It sounds like the original Sean isn't particularly upset that he didn't
    get to go to the spinoff. Then again, he's probably learned that if he
    wants to work again, he doesn't insult anyone higher on the food chain publicly so he's just phrasing everything very diplomatically.

    New Sean also sounds like he's not disrespecting original Sean but he
    probably knows to be diplomatic too.

    I suppose we'll never know how either of them *really* feels unless one
    of them writes a memoir.
