For those who can't be bothered reading the whole article, the renewed
    shows are:

    - Matlock
    - Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage
    - Tracker
    - Elsbeth
    - Fire Country
    - NCIS
    - NCIS: Origins
    - NCIS: Sydney
    - Survivor
    - The Amazing Race

CBS Renews 10 Shows, Including Matlock & Big Bang Theory Spin-off
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
CBS has renewed 10 shows for another season.

CBS is home to a number of popular shows, including the Kathy
Bates-starring Matlock and the Big Bang Theory spin-off Georgie
& Mandy's First Marriage. Both of those shows have now run for
    two seasons.

What CBS shows have been renewed?
Fans of Matlock and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage need not
fear about renewals any longer, as CBS has announced both shows
will be getting a third season.

Per Variety, the network has also renewed eight other shows,
including Tracker (renewed for Season 4), Elsbeth (renewed for
Season 4), Fire Country (renewed for Season 5), NCIS (renewed for
Season 24), NCIS: Origins (renewed for Season 3), NCIS: Sydney
(renewed for Season 4), Survivor (renewed for Season 51), and
The Amazing Race (renewed for Season 39).

The article notes, "This brings the total number of CBS series
ordered for the 2026-2027 season to 16. These renewals join CBS'
previous new season pickups for the Blue Bloods spinoff Boston
Blue, the Fire Country spinoff Sheriff Country, the Dick Wolf
procedural FBI, and the hit ensemble comedy Ghosts, which was
renewed for through Season 6 last year.

"...With these renewals, the only ongoing CBS shows awaiting word
on new seasons are the medical drama Watson starring Morris
Chestnut and the single-cam freshman comedy DMV. As previously
reported, the multi-cam comedy The Neighborhood is ending after
its current season. More orders and renewals are anticipated to
    come at a later date."

As for new shows, CBS' 2026-2027 broadcast season includes a
legal drama starring Mike Colter titled Cupertino that comes from
Robert and Michelle King and a procedural series called Einstein
starring Matthew Gray Gubler. There are also two comedy pilots
being prepped - a vampire comedy called Eternally Yours and a
period comedy titled Regency - that could be picked up by the
    network.

If only I had that sort of power. So many shows that I tend to watch
and like (especially of the science fiction genre) get cancelled

I have no info whatsoever to prove this, but I wouldn't be surprised
if there are laws/tax credits/etc., that are either siphoned away
from broadcasters or other producers, etc., mandating a certain
amount of Australian content, kind of like Canada.

For those who can't be bothered reading the whole article, the renewed >>>>>> shows are:

    - NCIS: Sydney

    Seriously?!?!!

It's produced for Paramount+ in Australia. It doesn't cost them
anything, paying a foreign programming fee to a sister company. It had >>>> already been renewed for its Australian audience.

I have no info whatsoever to prove this, but I wouldn't be surprised
if there are laws/tax credits/etc., that are either siphoned away
from broadcasters or other producers, etc., mandating a certain
amount of Australian content, kind of like Canada.

A similar Australian made show under agreement is the "Death in
Paradise" spin-off series "Return to Paradise". Plus of course the quiz
and reality shows such as "The Chase Australia" and "The Chase New
Zealand" (which was made in the Australian studio with the Australian
    chaser).
