• Orange is the New Lemon

Don Lemon's mugshot is a masterpiece of cosmic justice.

    https://ibb.co/5xv0dWs1

That smug, sanctimonious face... finally stripped of the studio lights, the teleprompter, the endless moral preening... now framed in county jail orange like the cheap convict he always was beneath the bespoke suits.

Look close: the eyes are dead. The mouth that endlessly lectured America for years about "decency" and "accountability" is clamped shut, because for once there's no corporate handler to bail him out in his ear with a scripted apology.

He thought he could trespass onto private property-- into a church-- and
remain there even after being explicitly told to leave, camera crew in tow, playing the noble truth-teller while obstructing everyone else's rights.

Turns out the 1st Amendment cuts both ways, Don.

"Trespass after warning" is a crime. As is violating the FACE Act, which you now claim violates the 1st Amendment. Well, you didn't seem to have a problem with the FACE Act or believe it violated the 1st Amendment when Biden's DOJ
was using it to lock up little old ladies for doing nothing more than silently praying on PUBLIC PROPERTY on the sidewalk outside an abortion clinic.

But you can storm into a church and completely disrupt the services and refuse to leave PRIVATE PROPERTY when asked and suddenly it's "Do we even have a Constitution anymore?"

Enjoy the holding cell, sweetheart. The soap's on the floor and nobody in
    there cares about your ratings.

Karma doesn’t negotiate. It just delivers.

I knew it prohibited blocking the entrance to an abortion clinic. It
also prohibits interference with free exercise of religion at a place of worship. The Act has both criminal and civil penalties, but I didn't
spot a description of criminal penalties.

There have now been nine indicted on federal civil rights violations,

If Lemon had sat in a pew and taken notes, he'd be witnessing the
disruptive protest but wouldn't have been disrupting the service
himself. But no, he was live streaming.

He literally walked up to the altar area, stuck a microphone in the face of
the pastor (or reverend or whatever this denomination calls the guy up front) and tried to conduct some half-assed interview. All while he was being told to leave, so whatever implied right of public access he's claiming churches give the community was explicitly revoked. He had zero right to be there against
the wishes of the property owner and there's no question he was disrupting their religious services.

Let them all face civil penalties and drop criminal charges if they
actually pay their penalties. The charges under Conspiracy Against
Rights seem like they are being overcharged; juries don't like that.

Well, they managed to lock up a bunch of January 6 people who were absolutely overcharged, so some juries do and I'm all for locking up one of these legacy corporate media propagandists who think they can get away with whatever they want because they're on TV and fancy themselves "journalists".

Well, 'progressives' are always about using the judicial system to 'send messages', so we can send a message that you can't be propagandist pretending to be a journalist and violate both state and federal law in the process without paying a price. And I can't think of a better vehicle for that message than that sanctimonious prick Don Lemon.

(I take that back. Most of the shrieking harridans on THE VIEW would be better candidates, but they only sit around their witches' cauldron every day and cackle, so there's not much chance they'll be caught doing anything like
    this.)

    (Yes, that same principle will
apply should the other Donnie's day of reckoning ever transpire.)

It already has. They literally had to make up a never-heard-of-before crime to prosecute Trump in New York. Prison time for not filling out the "memo" part
of your checks correctly? No one whose last name isn't Trump would ever be pursued for that in New York or anywhere else.

Whoa! There are indictments under a Reconstruction Era anti-KKK act, the >>Conspiracy Against Rights law!

    https://apnews.com/article/minneapolis-church-ice-protest-lemon-charges-arrests-8f09050ecabb2239b837d3f08c272f0d

If [Don] Lemon had sat in a pew and taken notes, he'd be witnessing the >>disruptive protest but wouldn't have been disrupting the service
himself. But no, he was live streaming.

He literally walked up to the altar area, stuck a microphone in the face of >the pastor (or reverend or whatever this denomination calls the guy up front)

It's Cities Church in St. Paul. Their Web site says pastor. I think they
    are Baptists.

and tried to conduct some half-assed interview. All while he was being told to >leave, so whatever implied right of public access he's claiming churches give >the community was explicitly revoked. He had zero right to be there against >the wishes of the property owner and there's no question he was disrupting >their religious services.

That's more disruptive than I thought he was being. Yeah, I don't see
how he was exercising his own freedom of the press rights.

Let them all face civil penalties and drop criminal charges if they >>actually pay their penalties. The charges under Conspiracy Against
Rights seem like they are being overcharged; juries don't like that.

Well, they managed to lock up a bunch of January 6 people who were absolutely >overcharged, so some juries do and I'm all for locking up one of these legacy >corporate media propagandists who think they can get away with whatever they >want because they're on TV and fancy themselves "journalists".

I think they would need to prove elements of intimidation if not
violence. Also, the geographic area of the Washington district is just
the city. In my federal court district, it's city, suburban, and rural counties. There's going to be a greater diversity of opinion among
    federal jurors.

Don Lemon's mugshot is a masterpiece of cosmic justice.

That smug, sanctimonious face... finally stripped of the studio lights, the >>> teleprompter, the endless moral preening... now framed in county jail orange
like the cheap convict he always was beneath the bespoke suits.

Look close: the eyes are dead. The mouth that endlessly lectured America for
years about "decency" and "accountability" is clamped shut, because for once
there's no corporate handler to bail him out in his ear with a scripted
    apology.

He thought he could trespass onto private property-- into a church-- and >>> remain there even after being explicitly told to leave, camera crew in tow, >>> playing the noble truth-teller while obstructing everyone else's rights. >>
Turns out the 1st Amendment cuts both ways, Don.

"Trespass after warning" is a crime. As is violating the FACE Act, which you
now claim violates the 1st Amendment.

I had to look it up.

    https://www.justice.gov/crt/freedom-access-clinic-entrances-places-religious-worship

I knew it prohibited blocking the entrance to an abortion clinic. It
also prohibits interference with free exercise of religion at a place of
worship. The Act has both criminal and civil penalties, but I didn't
spot a description of criminal penalties.

There have now been nine indicted on federal civil rights violations,
    including Lemon.

    https://apnews.com/article/don-lemon-arrest-minnesota-church-47330667dca03ff4e119ea777ed65eae

And these dipshits filmed themselves committing the crimes, so prosecutors don't even have to do much work here. (Unless they draw a judge who graduated from Law & Order Judicial Academy, in which case, all video evidence will be suppressed because Lemon didn't Mirandize himself and warn himself of his right to remain silent before turning the camera on or some such burning nonsense.)

Their defenders, scum like Hanoi Jane, are making the amazing claim that if
you record your crime, you can’t be prosecuted for it.
