The series will debut April 23, marking the franchise's first foray
into animation and ensuring fans have fresh stories from Hawkins even
as the main series concludes.
Broadway veteran Jeremy Jordan ("Supergirl," "Newsies") will voice
Steve Harrington in the series, which returns to Hawkins during a
brutal snow storm in the winter of 1985. Set between Seasons 2 and 3,
"Tales From '85" follows Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Max
during what appears to be a peaceful winter break filled with snowball
fights and Dungeons & Dragons sessions. But when a mysterious threat
awakens beneath the snow-covered streets of Hawkins, the young heroes
must uncover its source and save their town once more.
The voice cast includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie
Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha "EJ" Williams as
Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Benjamin Plessala as Will and Brett
Gipson as Hopper. Odessa A'zion, Janeane Garofalo and Lou Diamond
Phillips round out the ensemble. Flying Bark Productions is handling
animation.
The Duffer Brothers executive produce alongside Robles, Hilary Leavitt
via Upside Down Pictures, Shawn Levy via 21 Laps and Dan Cohen.
