Most were reported here already, but I didn't see the Inidana Jones
shows mentioned anywhere else (probably because they were "unannounced"
    shows anyway) ...

All TV Shows Canceled in January 2026
    -------------------------------------
January 2026 brought a wave of TV show cancellations across networks
and streaming platforms. From abrupt decisions to close out new
series to final season declarations for established titles, multiple
shows reached their endpoint during this period.

Netflix led the month's headlines with multiple cancellations, while
Paramount+ closed the chapter on one of its key dramas. PBS shuttered
a long-standing news program due to funding cuts, and Disney+ halted
development on franchise-based content under Lucasfilm. The decisions
reflect a broader shift in streaming strategy, including viewership
metrics, cost management, and brand realignment.

List of all TV shows Canceled in January 2026

    - The Abandons
Netflix canceled the Western drama The Abandons in January 2026,
roughly a month after its debut. The streaming giant removed the
show from its future lineup after the series lost audience momentum
following its debut. Gillian Anderson led the cast, and Kurt Sutter
    created the show.

    - The Vince Staples Show
Netflix ended The Vince Staples Show after two seasons. Netflix
released the second season in November 2025 but did not renew the
series, confirming its cancellation by early 2026.

    - Mayor of Kingstown
Paramount+ confirmed that Mayor of Kingstown would conclude with its
fifth season. The upcoming season will feature eight episodes,
reduced from the standard ten. This marks the official end of the
Taylor Sheridan-created series following the December 2025 finale of
    Season 4.

    - PBS News Weekend
PBS News Weekend aired its final episode on January 11, 2026. The
show was canceled due to federal budget cuts that led to a loss of
funding. The program had been on air for over a decade and was
    anchored by John Yang.

    - Indiana Jones (Unannounced Shows)
Two Indiana Jones TV projects were canceled by Disney in January
2026. These included an animated series codenamed Reggie and a
live-action prequel centered on Abner Ravenwood. Neither series had
been publicly announced before their termination.

    - Honorable Mention - The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
CBS canceled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2025 and
announced its final airdate in January 2026. The network will end
the show on May 21, 2026, after 11 seasons and more than 1,700
    episodes.

Wow. I didn’t have a hint of an inkling.

    - Honorable Mention - The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
    CBS

There’s nothing honorable about CBS or Colbert.

canceled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2025 and
announced its final airdate in January 2026. The network will end
the show on May 21, 2026, after 11 seasons and more than 1,700
