The advantage to jumbo is the surface area to volume ratio of the yolks.
That makes it easier to maximize the runniness of the yolk who having
the white fully set--the ideal fried egg. Also, at the comparative
prices at the store that has the jumbos, I get 25% more food for only

Aldi's here do not stock jumbo eggs, only large and Kroger beats them
on their price for that size egg. But Aldi does win the race for whole
milk, however Kroger beats them when it comes to half-n-half.

I'd only buy ostrich eggs in a cage as they could stand that rough
handling. Supposedly you can stand on one of their eggs and it won't
break. I can't imagine the price of a dozen though, can you? Plus,
think of the amount of space they'd take up in a home refrigerator!

I meant that the large eggs from ALDI are per ounce a tiny bit cheaper
than the jumbos at Schnuck's. We don't buy H&H, but get heavy cream at
the foodservice supply, as it's cheaper, and they have the actual 40%
stuff. I also buy butter there. It comes in 1# blocks, not quarters, but
I got salted butter there today for $1.88/#. A 5# bag of finely shredded
Jack was $11. We will use that much before it hits its best by date. I
also got a 2.5# bag of spinach for $4.95.

Tomorrow bottom round goes on sale at Schnuck's for $4.99/#. I'm going
to pulverize some of it and use it and the spinach to make raviolis. I'm
not going to try to make them all square and frilly edged. I'm just
going to put them together in triangles like I was making crab rangoons,
but using home made egg pasta rather than wonton wrappers. I've never
made them before, but if they turn out nicely, that might be lunch on Saturday. With a forecasted -4F wind chill at 10:30 AM, I don't think
we'll be getting Mexican, but rather bringing something over to the
    parents' house.

I've never seen them in a cage. Most are in either a molded foam box or
pressed paper. Holds them better than a cage.

Ed, have you ever tried doing standup at a local Floridian venue?

The lifetime confinement, overcrowding, excercise, diet, and

So nice of Yamamoto to have said that in English. Apparently there is
no proof that he actually said it. It seems a screen writer claims he
saw it in a letter but he can't produce the letter. It ranks up there
with Tucker Carlson's copies of files that would have destroyed Biden's chances of winning the 2020 election and then when push came to shove
and he had to produce the letters his only copy had been lost in the mail.

    AI Overview
Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, who planned the Pearl Harbor attack, feared it would ultimately lead to Japan's defeat by galvanizing the United States. He is most famous for the sentiment, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve,” although this exact phrase may be a dramatic paraphrase popularized by the film Tora! Tora! Tora!.
Key insights and comments attributed to or made by Yamamoto regarding the attack include:
The "Sleeping Giant" sentiment: He believed the attack would only temporarily disable the U.S. Navy and trigger a long, inevitable war that Japan could not win.
Pre-war Prediction: He told Prime Minister Konoe, "In the first six to twelve months of a war... I shall run wild and win victory upon victory. But then, if the war continues after that, I have no expectation of success," according to this PearlHarbor.org blog post.
Duration of Success: He predicted that Japanese success would last "for a year and a half at the most," according to this PearlHarbor.org blog post.
On the Nature of the Attack: He expressed that attacking a, "sleeping enemy," was, "more a matter of shame, simply, for the one smitten," according to a Reddit post.
While the "sleeping giant" quote is iconic, some historians note it is difficult to find the exact phrase in his personal diaries or written
records. However, the sentiment perfectly aligns with his known
skepticism about defeating the United States.

    the surprise Pearl Harbor attack?

Not only do I not recall it, I probably never knew it.

It was quoted in an American movie, of course.

You have a problem with America, as always.
How hypocritical of you to even live in this nation.
“I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him
with a terrible resolve,” although this exact phrase may be a dramatic
paraphrase popularized by the film Tora! Tora!

That's great. Of course, the Führer prefers to torture

I don't think he cares. There are two broad issues here:

    1. Defiance of federal control must be suppressed.
    2. He's currently feuding with the governor of California.

    It's always personal with Trump.

How noteworthy is it that he has sent ICE to Minnesota whose
governor was the running mate of his opponent in the last
    election.

Now much treason and corruption in Minnesota is there?

Maybe you;'e like their exterminable governator who likes smelling
