Dang it. It is still cold. Actually, it is not as cold as it had been on
the weekend. It is about 11F. It had below 0 a few times. While it is
slightly warmer than on Friday and Saturday it just seems to be wicked
    cold today.

So...... comfort food for supper. My wife took out some ground beef to
thaw and requested shepherd's pie. The real thing... made with beef ;-)

The filling is simmering and in a couple minutes I will go in and mash
    the potatoes.

Lunch was penne with diced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, chickpeas, peas, spinach, red onion, oil, and garlic. I took some home as leftovers. If
I have a criticism, it was that there weren't enough chickpeas. Easily remedied when I reheat it.

Dinner, of course, is a salad.

Still very cold here and of course the temperatures drop down into the
teens and lower once the sun disappears.

But we did have lots of sunshine today even if it only reached 31°F (0.55°C) but it melted a LOT of the snow and ice. But my house faces north so not
much left the front yard, but backyard looks better. I was at least able
to get down the back steps to empty my kitchen recycling container.

It's going to be the leftover creamy chicken, rice, and mushroom soup.
Two very good-sized bowls were handed to two neighbors along with a
    dish each of blueberry cobbler.
