Hamloaf in the oven, potatoes boiling on the stove to be mashed, green
beans roasted in butter and garlic. I've never had hamloaf, but it was
sold prepared to be cooked. Seems to be a mix of ground pork and ham.

What's cooking today? Today is our first time out of the teens, it's
been so cold! I think it was -12 the other night, and my boiler
couldn't keep up. It was barely 60 degrees on the first floor of the
house, so the oven's been on most of the day.

I'm not sure what dinner will be here, maybe a sandwich and chips as
I'm not really in the mood to cook today although there are a few
things in the refrigerator ready to hit the stove. Report back on
your ham loaf as I've never seen one.

We're sitting at a balmy 27° here with abundant sunshine and once or
twice this past week we hit 30° and a bit above on two days. Monday
is supposed reach 45° and sunny and the same for Tuesday, but rain.

Hamloaf? Fascinating - hopefully, it's everything you want it to be. You're sure
to get all your daily pork requirements today. Yesterday, we had some garlic shrimp from L&L Drive Inn. I've eaten a lot of garlic shrimp these past few years.
It looks like I've reached the limit of my tolerance specs. My wife enjoyed it so
that's good but I don't know how much more I can take.

We have chicken that be be roasted, probably accompanied by potatoes
carrots and maybe an onion. Maybe I should so it like we did the
Christmas turkey, setting the bird on a bed of carrot, celery and onion instead of a roasting rack. It sure made for some good gravy.

Lunch was some pork and cabbage dumplings with a sauce of soy sauce,
sesame oil, black Chinkiang vinegar, chili crisp, and thinly sliced
    scallion.

Our forced-air heat has been keeping up just fine.

I Googled it and it sounds awful. Like everything crappy about meatloaf
with the added crappiness of ham. It seems like Depression food.
