    If you have a spare computer, run an external Opnsense firewall. You
    can then run WireShark and/or LiveTcpUdpWatch to see what programs on
    your computer are accessing the web and block their IP or better, the
    entire network it is using. Unfortunately, there is a big learning
    curve to set this up.

    You will find many programs (like MesNews) will be sending out a
    message to their server showing who is using their program.
